WHAT TO KNOW

  • What is a tattoo convention?

Tattoo conventions are your one stop shop to discover artists, shop apparel and prints, collect original paintings and drawings, grab a drink or delicious local food, and best of all - get tattooed! Even if you’re not planning on getting tattooed, there’s plenty to see here. For the tattoo community, it’s one of our favorite ways to honor and stay connected to the culture of tattooing.

  • How do I get tickets?

Click “BUY TICKETS” on the home page. Tickets will also be available on site - bring your friends and a little cash. Please be aware that your entry ticket does not cover food/alcohol or tattoo cost, and artists will likely only be accepting cash payment for tattoos - we’ll have an ATM at the venue.

  • How do I make a tattoo appointment?

Head to our “ARTISTS” page, and click the “MORE” button under your favorite artist’s name. This will take you to their Instagram or website, where you should be able to find their contact information or just shoot them a DM.

  • What if my favorite artist is already booked up?

Come to the convention and find them - sometimes artists have cancellations or no-shows. Either way, we’ll be back next year! If there are any artists you want to see join us at future events, let us know.

  • Where do I park when I get there?

Santa Barbara is a small walkable town with dozens of public parking lots and even space on the streets if you’d like. You’ll be within a few minutes walk of the venue.

  • Is there an age limit?

To come to the convention - nope! This is a family friendly event. We’ll even have temporary tattoos and coloring books for the little ones, by toddlertattoos.com. However, the state of California requires tattoo recipients to be at least 18 years of age - absolutely NO exceptions will be made at this event. You will be asked to show proper identification.

  • What’s for lunch?

No flavorless or fast food here - we’re partnering with the talented team of Priedite BBQ to provide delicious and filling options inside the venue all weekend. There will be drinks of all kinds and dessert as well.

  • I’m indecisive. Do I really have to make a tattoo appointment ahead of time?

No pressure. Most artists usually save some time for walk-ups, and bring plenty of ready-to-go designs - something for everyone. If you see something you like, don’t be afraid to ask that artist about it.

  • I’m a tattooer and I want to be a part of this. Is there somewhere to sign up?

The venue we chose is a small and intimate community arts workshop. We’d love to host all of our friends and interested artists and it was really tough for us to narrow down, but there’s just limited space this time. If you are a professional tattooer, please contact Golden Eagle Tattoo or 805 Ink to plan a guest spot. We know it’s not really the same, but we’d love to have you. Even better if you come hang with us at this years convention, meet the people behind it and join the plan for next year!
